An urgent appeal from Bhagat Singh National Employment Guarantee Act (BSNEGA) Campaign

Comrades! Friends!

As you are aware, since last one year, many workers, students, women and youth organizations are running the campaign for Bhagat Singh National Employment Guarantee Act (BSNEGA). As a part of this campaign a huge demonstration was organized last year (25 March 2018) by thousands of workers, students-youth and women under the banners of their organizations, unions and BSNEGA on the Sansad Marg in Delhi. The unemployment has grown manifolds in last one year. Many statistics have been released which Modi government is trying to suppress, because these statistics tell us that unemployment is at its peak in the last 45 years.

At such a time, BSNEGA campaign is organizing Second ‘Right to Employment’ Rally (Rozgaar Adhikar Rally) on 3rd March 2019 which will start at 10 AM from Ramlila Maidan and culminate in a massive demonstration on the Sansad Marg. Workers, students-youth and women are participating in this rally in much larger numbers this year.

The organizing committee has to arrange huge economic resources to organize this rally, be it for the transportation of those coming for the protest, logistical/technical preparations, press conferences, banners, posters, placards, audio system, etc. For this, we need substantial financial resources. We are running a campaign amongst the people to raise the contributions. In this series, we release this online appeal to all justice loving, progressive, sensitive citizens, youth, students, employees, and common people to fund us as much as they can. We are inviting only individual contributions and we do not accept contributions from any NGO, funding agencies, electoralist parties, corporates or government, as a principle. We appeal to all progressive people that they send as much as possible monetary contribution to the bank accounts given below.

We hope that you will support us in this just struggle. This is a long struggle and we will need your continuous support for this movement.
